You can set up to receive notifications on Slack and other external services for new notes and comments.
We currently support the following services:
- Slack
- Microsoft Teams
Set up for Slack
- On the Slack browser, open Custom Integration.
- Click “Incoming Webhook”
Kibela uses an old version of Incoming Webhook. For details, please follow the instructions here.
If you have not set this up, please turn on the settings (details on the Slack Help Center) - Click “Add Slack”
- Click “Select Channel” and select the channel you wish to receive notifications, then click “Add Incoming Webhook Integration”
- Copy and save the Webhook URL.
Set up for Kibela
- Click “Settings” on the user icon under headings.
- Click “Outgoing Webhooks” on the left menu.
Click “Add Webhook” and select the desired destination. Click Slack.

Set the “display name”
Give the Webhook an easily identifiable name.
Set the “Notification URL” on Slack
This notification URL is issued by Slack. For instructions, please see “Incoming webhooks for Slack.”
Set the conditions for “co-editing”
You can set up notifications for all notes, notes not on co-editing mode, and notes on co-editing mode.
Set the notification “group”
Select which group you wish to receive notifications.
Set the conditions for the notification events
Select the event you wish to receive notifications such as “when a note is published,” “when a note is updated,” and “when a comment is posted.”
Please note that only the owners or admins can select the condition “when audit logs are recorded.” Users without these privileges will not be able to see this option.
When the setup is complete, click “send test.”
Once your test is working properly, click “add.”
Set up for Microsoft Teams
- On the Microsoft Teams settings page, click the icon on the top right, and select “Connector” from the drop down menu.
- Open the Incoming Webhook settings page and click “Add.”
- Create a Webhook. We recommend selecting a name and photo that’s easily identifiable.
- Name the Webhook (e.g. “Kibela Webhook”)
- Upload an image (optional). Feel free to use the Kibe-san image below.
Once the setup is complete, click “create.” - Copy the Webhook URL.
You will need this to set up on the Kibela side.
Set up for Kibela
- Click “Settings” on the user icon under headings.
- Click “Outgoing Webhooks” on the left menu.
Click “Add Webhook” and select the desired destination. Click “Microsoft Teams.” - Set up the Webhook.
- Set the display name
- Paste the Webhook URL copied from Microsoft Teams
- Set the notes to be notified. For example, if you wish to receive notifications of co-edited notes, select “notes on co-editing mode on.”
- Set the notification group
- Set the notification events
Once the setup is complete, click “Send Test.”
Once your test is working properly, you will be able to click “Add.”
Click “Add” to complete.
Receive notifications for unsupported services
Kibela currently supports Slack and Microsoft Teams for notifications.
We also provide a general Outgoing Webhook that you can use to receive notifications.
We also support a beta version of Zapier integration.
